When Tom Monaghan
started to extend his business by opening the first three shops, he wanted to
preserve the logo Dominick’s but the previous owner rejected. Thus,
Tom had to come up with other alternatives.
One day, a delivery
man came back and told Tom “I have found the name for you – Domino’s Pizza”
which Tom liked very much because it had an Italian background which suited the
Italian origin of the pizza. It also denotes the Domino Pieces that can be used
in the shops’ logo.
